Emma - Georgian 15K Rose Gold Garnet & Seed Pearl Ring.  This Gorgeous ring is crafted from 15K yellow gold, tested.  Featuring a natural square cut garnet , 12 natural seed pearls, Georgian styling, and quality gold-work.  This delightful ring is collect -set with a garnet, surrounded by seed pearls. The garnet has the most beautiful rich red wine colour and is opened backed in a little frame to the rings reverse side. The pearls have a lovely lustre and are silvery grey in colour.  The upper regions of the shank are highly decorative, with pierce -work and engravings. The shank of the ring is substantial, smooth and polished, which allows for a comfortable fit.  This charming Georgian/early Victorian ring is highly collectible,  truly a perfect gift or addition to any fine jewelry collection.

Note: Rings before 1850 were completely handmade, gemstones were hand cut, only using tools to make these treasures. Machinery was not used until after 1850.

When John Benjamin from the British Antique Roadshow was asked what his recommendation was for people to collect , his answer was Georgian rings. Here is a lovely example of one.

Value is based on rarity, condition, age, workmanship, and the beauty of the ring.  Contemporary appraisals do not reflect the antiquity value.

This ring should not be immersed into liquid because of the closed back and pearls. To clean, use a Q-tip and dampen it with water (not soaked) and gently wipe.  Then pat dry gently with a soft cloth.
