These gorgeous earrings are crafted from 900 silver, tested. Whilst the butterfly backs are hallmarked 925 sterling. These earrings feature Art Deco era styling, and quality craftsmanship. The surmounts on these earrings are delicate silver filigree flowers, which are for pierced ears, featuring posts , and butterfly backs (changed over at one point in time from old screw backs to a more modern and comfortable fitting). The earrings are articulated in such away that there are three filigree motifs. One being the floral surmount, the next a feminine filigree bow, and the last, an exquisite larger filigree flower motif. The earrings are articulated with connectors, which allow the earrings to have nice movement and sway, as opposed to being stiff. They are graceful and elegant, however quite dramatic. These earrings look stunning when worn, truly a wonderful gift or addition to any jewelry collection.

Comments: Beautiful early hand-made Art Deco earrings, showcasing a Renaissance Baroque influence.

History: Silver's history is long. The first evidence of silver mining dates back to 3000 B.C., in Turkey and Greece, according to the RSC.
