Rose For You - Vintage Silver Angel Skin Coral Glass Rose Bead Necklace. This pretty necklace is crafted from a silver metal. The necklace features numerous molded glass beads, vintage styling, and quality craftsmanship. This lovely necklace is hand-strung with beautiful faux angel skin coral glass beads. The glass beads are made from molds, which are made in the form of roses, and smaller interspaced round glass beads. The beads are also framed and wrapped with sparkling silver metal wire, which protects the glass beads from running against each other and also adds a touch of sparkle to the piece. The beads are a creamy white and blush pink color. The clasp is a screw type design, in perfect working order. This wonderful vintage necklace is so feminine and pretty, truly a perfect addition to any vintage jewelry collection.

History: Traded globally for centuries, glass beads are among the earliest attempts at glass production and have been found at ancient glass manufacturing sites in the eastern Mediterranean from the second millennium B.C. The beads in the exhibition demonstrate the variations in manufacturing techniques used to create beads and jewelry.

The area where Czech glass beads are now produced was once known as Bohemia. Evidence of glass bead-making has been found in this area as far back as the 8th and 9th centuries. Celts living in the area were quite skilled at glass making. The glass beads from this era were often found in tombs.
