Gaston & Maida Rivest - Vintage Gold Plated Enamel Cufflinks & Tie Pin Set. This wonderful Vintage set is hand crafted from gold plated metal and enamel. Featuring Retro Vintage Retro Styling, Enamel work, and quality craftsmanship. This dapper set includes a tie bar with a secure pin on the back, and a pair of triangular shaped cufflinks. The set has a thick layer of gold plate (a characteristic of vintage jewelry) and beautiful greyish / white mother of pearl enamel. The tie pin displays more of a colour play so they may have not been originally sold together as a set, however they look wonderful together and enhance each other. The Vintage set is high quality and would fabulous for any special occasion, or during the day with your favourite suit!

History: The earliest known enameled pieces have been dated to the 13th century BC, when Mycenaean goldsmiths inlaid enamels into gold rings. Since then, cultures all over the world have incorporated enameling into their art forms.
