Smár Kneppa - Ancient Viking 8th-11th Century Bronze Button Pendant. This wonderful pendant is crafted from bronze, featuring wonderful ancient bronze work and an aged patina. This pendant is an actual button, which would have been possibly worn on a cloak, shirt, coat, pants or any article of clothing worn in the Viking era. The button is solid with a bale, allowing the artifact to be worn today a pendant. The button has been matched up to a bronze contemporary loop and bale, and woven through a contemporary black bronze chain. The chain aesthetically works perfectly with the piece, and features a sturdy lobster claw clasp. This rare piece is an amazing find, truly a desirable artifact for any collection.
