Black & White - Vintage Silver Plated Rhinestone Crystal Stud Earrings. These lovely earrings are crafted from silver plate over metal. Featuring round cut crystal rhinestones, and a classic vintage design. The gallery on these earrings have a dimensional twist design, which alternate from clear sparkling white crystals, and jet black crystals. The contrast between the black and white crystals are very attractive. The earrings are for pierced ears, featuring posts and secure suction-cup backings. History: Centuries ago, quartz pebbles with a high lead content were found sparkling on the banks of Europe's Rhine River. These beautiful, natural stones were highly coveted and were eventually depleted, inspiring jewelers to create an imitation, aptly named the "rhinestone."
