Renaissance Tudor 16th-17th century bronze gem necklace. This gorgeous necklace is crafted from bronze, featuring two wonderful artifacts , one set with a gem, made into a fabulous designed necklace. The cross on the necklace is Medieval ( 10th -13th century) it is made of bronze with simple but nice detailing, displaying a lovely aged patina. The second artifact in this necklace is a beautiful Renaissance period flower ( 16th century) with traces of enamel work and a Paste Hessonite garnet gem, the gem is a glowing orange and although small still a standout in this piece. The Ancient pieces have been matched up to a contemporary bronze chain, with a very sturdy lobster claw clasp. The necklace hangs beautifully and looks stunning when worn, truly a very special necklace to be treasured and enjoyed for many years to come.
