Shell & Scroll - Vintage Marcel Boucher Signed Brooch. This wonderful brooch is crafted from a silver metal, marked Boucher and numbered 6885. Featuring Vintage styling and quality craftsmanship. The beautiful brooch is made in the form of a scroll and shell. It has a lovely satiny brushed finished, which gives the brooch a silvery gild foiled look. The brooch is dimensional and beautifully rendered. The pin on the back of the brooch has a secure lock mechanism in perfect working order. The Vintage brooch is highly collectible, and simply gorgeous!
History: Marcel Boucher (1898–1965) was a French jeweller. In the early 1920s, he moved to New York City, where he developed a passion for jewellery design, studying under Pierre Cartier as an apprentice. By the 1930s, he was working for Mazer Brothers.
