Starstruck - Victorian English Dated '1892' 9K Rose Gold Natural Sapphire & Diamond Gypsy Band Ring. This antique ring is crafted from 9K rose gold, hallmarked 9 and 375 for 9CT British gold, a Chester assay, a letter 'I' for 1892, and a makers mark C.K. This ring features one natural faceted sapphire, 2 natural round cut sapphires, 2 natural antique round cut diamonds, Victorian styling, and quality craftsmanship. The gallery on this ring is expertly set with beautiful cornflower blue sapphires, which are interspaced by glowing diamonds. The precious gemstones are set flush, which is known as a gypsy ring. The color of the gold is a beautiful rich rose gold, which off-sets the gemstones perfectly. History: The celestial blue color of this gemstone symbolized heaven and attracted divine favor and wise judgment. Greeks wore sapphire for guidance when seeking answers from the oracle. Buddhists believed that it brought spiritual enlightenment, and Hindus used it during worship.

The earliest diamonds were found in India in 4th century BC, although the youngest of these deposits were formed 900 million years ago. A majority of these early stones were transported along the network of trade routes that connected India and China, commonly known as the Silk Road.
