Wreath Of Pearls - Vintage Gold Tone Pearl Wreath Brooch. This Vintage brooch is crafted from a gold toned metal, unsigned, numbered 0164 p. Featuring faux pearls, Vintage styling, and quality craftsmanship. The brooch is designed as a wreath, with a textured gold finish, and adorned by pearls. The gold portion is surrounded by a beautiful pearl halo, which adds contrast and beauty to the brooch. The back of the brooch features a pin, and lock mechanism in perfect working order. The first notes that the wreath dates back to ancient Greece & Rome, where members of Greco-Roman society would hand-make ring-shaped “wreaths” using fresh tree leaves, twigs, small fruits & flowers. Worn as headdresses, these wreaths represented one's occupation, rank, achievements, and status.
