Blue Lace - Estate 14K Gold Natural Agate Beaded Necklace. This pretty necklace is crafted from 14K, hallmarked 14K on the clasp. The necklace features numerous natural 'blue lace' agate beads, classic styling, and quality craftsmanship. This beautiful necklace is comprised of round polished large beads, interspaced with smaller beads. The color of the agate is a beautiful blue/lavender color with exquisite lacy banding, which gives the agate character and femininity. The necklace has been fitted with a secure 14K gold lobster-claw clasp, in perfect working order. This gorgeous estate necklace is elegant, and classy, yet can be worn casually or with formal attire. History: As recently as 2015, miners were climbing down chain-ladders to access it. After being removed with chisels and jackhammers, the stone was raised to the surface in buckets. The buckets were attached by chains to a crane at the side of the pit. For this reason, large pieces of Blue Lace Agate are extremely rare.

Gold was generally used for a couple thousand years solely to create things such as jewelry and idols for worship. This was until around 1500 BC when the ancient empire of Egypt, which benefited greatly from its gold-bearing region, Nubia, made gold the first official medium of exchange for international trade.
