Through The Looking Glass - Vintage Sterling Silver Rose Cut Diamond & Rock Crystal Round Pendant.  This wonderful pendant is crafted from sterling silver, tested. and confirmed. The chain is crafted from sterling silver, hallmarked 925, Italy.  Featuring 208 natural rose cut diamond, one natural rock crystal (quartz) round gemstone , Edwardian styling, and quality silver-work. This fantastic piece exhibits an expertly claw set rock crystal gemstone, surrounded by a double halo of glowing rose cut diamonds. Even the bale is set with rose cut diamonds.  The pendant is attached to a dog clip, which is also adorned with diamonds.  The chain is a durable and flexible design, featuring a secure lobster claw clasp.  This Vintage Edwardian Revival piece would make a fantastic gift or addition to any fine jewelry collection.

You cannot look at rose cut diamond jewelry factually with a recut formula in mind, its value is object driven. Rose cuts are a greater challenge in estimating weight once they have been mounted (especially if they are closed back). These rose cut diamonds are hand cut, which makes them so special. 

The Greek word krystallos meaning “ice”, provides the basis for the origin of the name Rock Crystal. This transparent colorless form of quartz conjures up the imagery of frozen rock and was so dubbed in ancient times. ... These often had a diamond or other stone set in the center.

This hand-made pendant is made in the manner of antique jewelry.  White gold was not invented so silver was used to set off the gemstones. This piece is made in a similar way to those antique pieces.
