History: Green is a rare color for a sapphire. Supplies may be limited, but green sapphire is virtually unknown to the public, so demand has not driven prices to the same heights as pink or yellow sapphires.

High quality Green Sapphires are rare, especially when you're looking for higher quality gemstones, which are eye clean, like ours. This means they can be challenging to source, particularly if you have your heart set on a specific shade or hue.

Green sapphire is a type of sapphire gemstone found in a range of green hues, but most often olive-colored. Natural, untreated green sapphires are somewhat rare but not well-known, so they aren't too hard to find. In recent years, green sapphire engagement rings have started becoming popular non-diamond alternatives.

Crepuscular rays. Also called sun beams, God rays. The sun light hits small particles in the air (dust, pollen, water droplets) and forms bright beams. Shadows are darker, of course. These the of rays are found in forests.

Gold was generally used for a couple thousand years solely to create things such as jewelry and idols for worship. This was until around 1500 BC when the ancient empire of Egypt, which benefited greatly from its gold-bearing region, Nubia, made gold the first official medium of exchange for international trade.
