Violet Trio - Estate 10K White Gold Amethyst Three Stone Filigree Ring. This lovely ring is crafted from 10K gold, hallmarked 10K, and Thailand. Featuring 3 natural round cut faceted amethysts, Edwardian revival styling, and quality craftsmanship. The galley on this ring showcases three decorative bezel-set violet colored amethysts, displaying a purplish/pinkish hue. The amethyst are surrounded by a sea of filigree work, throughout the gallery of the ring. The shoulders of the ring are engraved with foliage type decoration, leading down to a smooth and polished band, which allows for a comfortable fit and easy sizing. This Estate Edwardian Revival ring would make a perfect gift or addition to any fine jewelry collection.

History: Amethyst jewelry has been found and dated as early as 2000 BC. Some historical accounts say that Saint Valentine had an amethyst ring carved with an image of Cupid. For those familiar with Old Testament history, amethyst was one of the twelve gemstones that represented the twelve tribes of Israel.

Over and above the physical properties and benefits of amethyst, the stone's purple colour is a natural tranquiliser. It is said to dispel rage, help manage fears and anger, and calm rage and anxiety. Other believed benefits of amethyst include the ability to alleviate sadness and grief and dissolving negativity.

Although the origin of white color gold dates back to 1710, where it was discovered by two alchemists in Germany, it wasn't used widely until much later. White gold as we know it today was really popularised in the 1920s. Although it might seem strange, this luxury material came to popularity in wartime.
