History: Bakelite, developed in 1907 by Belgian-American chemist Leo Baekeland, , was the first fully synthetic plastic, manufactured from phenol and formaldehyde. Patented in 1909, this heat-resistant, durable, and electrically nonconductive thermosetting resin became known as "the material of a thousand uses". It revolutionized industries, enabling the mass production of electrical components, radios, telephones, and jewelry (popular in the 1930s.

Bakelite jewelry, was popular from the 1920s to the 1940s, is a highly collectible form of early, durable, and colourful thermo-set plastic jewelry. By the 1040s and 1950s, production waned as newer, and less expensive materials like Lucite became more popular.

The Bronze Age (roughly 3300-1200 BCE) marked a pivotal era in human history, characterized by the widespread adoption of bronze, an allow of copper and tin. This period introduced advanced metallurgy, leading to superior tools, weapons, and the emergence of the first cities, writing systems, and extensive trade networks across Eurasia.
