Featuring ancient Medieval styling, a glass antique cut gemstone, and quality bronze work. This lovely ring boasts a faceted amethyst glass gemstone set into a rectangular stepped gallery.  The shoulders on the ring also exhibit a stepped design, leading down to a smooth shank, which allows for a comfortable fit. The ring displays a wonderful deep bronze patina. The back of the gallery is solid, which adds strength and durability to the Ancient ring.  The Medieval era ring is highly collectable, truly a unique gift or addition to any early collection.

History: Bronze has a rich history in jewelry-making that dates back to ancient times. The use of bronze in jewelry can be traced back to the Bronze Age, which lasted from roughly 3000 BC to 1200 BC. During this time, bronze was used to create a variety of objects, including jewelry, weapons, and tools.

As from the First Century AD colourless glass was produced and coloured by the addition of colouring agents. Glass has been used as a substitute for emerald and other fine gemstones since at least the days of ancient Rome.

In the history of Europe, the Middle Ages or medieval period lasted approximately from the 5th to the late 15th centuries, similarly to the Post-classical period of global history. It began with the fall of the Western Roman Empire and transitioned into the Renaissance and the Age of Discovery.

Note: Artifacts are luxury items. The ring can be worn with care.  To clean use only water(a soft damp cloth, not saturated, gently wipe.  Pat dry immediately with a soft dry cloth.
