Lilac Lovely - Vintage 10K Amethyst & Diamond Ring. This petty ring is crafted from 10K yellow gold, hallmarked 10K, and a makers mark CORONA.  Featuring one natural oval cut faceted amethyst, 2 natural round cut diamonds, classic styling, and quality craftsmanship.  The expertly claw-set amethyst displays a beautiful lavender colour, with a purplish/pink hue, which is flanked by sparkling diamonds. The shoulders are a bypass design, which leads down to a smooth polished shank, allowing for a comfortable fit and easy sizing.  The Vintage classic ring would make a perfect gift or addition to any jewelry collection.

The goblet overturned, and the red wine spilled all over the white rock, saturating it until it became the purple quartz that is now known as Amethyst.

The earliest diamonds were found in India in 4th century BC, although the youngest of these deposits were formed 900 million years ago. A majority of these early stones were transported along the network of trade routes that connected India and China, commonly known as the Silk Road.

This was until around 1500 BC when the ancient empire of Egypt, which benefited greatly from its gold-bearing region, Nubia, made gold the first official medium of exchange for international trade.
