Magnolia - Vintage Marcel Boucher Le Couturier Gold Plate White Enamel Flower Brooch. This gorgeous brooch is crafted from a heavy gold plate over a base metal. Featuring white enamel, high quality craftsmanship, and signed LeC for Le Couturier, with a 3508 inventory number. This Boucher brooch is made in the form of a beautiful magnolia flower. It is comprised of gold plate(heavy plating, which Boucher is known for), and exquisite white enamel work.  The lovely flower has layers of white petals, which are trimmed in gold.  The brooch is dimensional and beautifully executed, which gives the flower life and whimsey. The pin of the brooch is held shut with a firm to close rotating locking C clasp. The Vintage brooch is classy and elegant, truly a perfect gift for that special someone or gift for yourself.

Marcel Boucher (1898–1965) was a French jeweller. In the early 1920s, he moved to New York City, where he developed a passion for jewellery design, studying under Pierre Cartier as an apprentice. By the 1930s, he was working for Mazer Brothers.

In 1937, Marcel and Arthur Halberstadt founded "Marcel Boucher Ltd. Novelty Jewelry," a successful partnership with Marcel in charge of design and manufacturing and Arthur sales and financial operations. In 1944, they changed the company name to "Marcel Boucher & Cie." The company was in operation from 1937 to 1972. 

The Marcel Boucher Le Couturier collection was made in Montreal, Canada.
