Winter Blush - Vintage Bespoke 14K Gold Fancy Precision Cut Pink Amethyst Pendant & Chain.  This gorgeous pendant is crafted from 14K gold, tested and confirmed. The chain is crafted from 14k gold, hallmarked 585( European hallmark for 14K gold) and Italy. The pendant features one natural oval shaped precision cut amethyst, vintage classic styling, and quality craftsmanship. The gallery on this pendant showcases an expertly claw-set beautiful pale pink amethyst, displaying pinkish/lilac/grayish hues.  The basket setting is substantial and sturdy, and features a substantial bale. The chain is a paperclip design, which allows the focus to be on the stunning pink amethyst. The chain features a secure spring ring clasp, in perfect working order. This vintage pendant is a one-of-a-kind custom made bespoke piece. Truly a wonderful addition to any fine vintage jewelry collection.

History: Pink Amethyst is a Fairly new Semi Precious Stone as it was discovered in Patagonia, Argentina only a while ago. It has Hematite inclusions in it and thus, sports a specked and lilac/pink shade. It is a variation of Quartz.

Where Is Pink Amethyst From? As mentioned previously, pink amethyst was first discovered in the region of Patagonia, Argentina. The biggest deposit occurs in the vicinity of the El Chiquada mine. Because pink amethyst has only ever been found in Patagonia, it is considered a rare and valuable form of amethyst.

Gold was generally used for a couple thousand years solely to create things such as jewelry and idols for worship. This was until around 1500 BC when the ancient empire of Egypt, which benefited greatly from its gold-bearing region, Nubia, made gold the first official medium of exchange for international trade.
