History: Pink Topaz is a pink gemstone that comes from a sole deposit near the Brazilian town of Ouro Preto (Portuguese: Black Gold). Pink Topaz embodies a gem's essential ideals: genuine rarity, breathtaking beauty and everyday durability; making it one of the world's most coveted and valuable gemstones.

The earliest diamonds were found in India in 4th century BC, although the youngest of these deposits were formed 900 million years ago. A majority of these early stones were transported along the network of trade routes that connected India and China, commonly known as the Silk Road.

They mined gold in Nubia around 2450 BC. An Egyptian alchemist named Zosimos was the first to find pure gold (24 centuries before Columbus reached the Americas). The discovery of gold is attributed to the ancient Egyptians, who made jewelry out of gold.
