Ancient Viking 8th -11th Century Silver Mythological Amulet Pendant . This rare artifact is crafted from silver, tested and confirmed. Featuring an ancient viking design, wonderful detail and quality silver-work. The mythological amulet is designed as an intertwined snake, exhibiting amazing detail and character. The bale is solid and substantial. The pendant displays a wonderful aged patina and is very solid. The Anglo Saxons (ancestors of the Vikings) also did this type of work (intertwining different animals with secret codes, which is known as Animal Salad. The artifact has been matched up to a contemporary chain, featuring a secure lobster claw clasp. The chain is sterling silver, hallmarked 925, Italy. The rare Viking amulet is a very intriguing piece indeed, to be treasured and cherished for many years to come.
