A Tudor Treasure - Renaissance 15th -16th Century Ring. This fantastic ring is crafted from bronze. Featuring a square cut white paste gem, quality bronze work, exquisite detailing, and a beautiful aged patina. The expertly set glass gemstone is white with a slight pearlized lustre, surround by a high step type layered setting, a characteristic found in Tudor jewelry. The back of the ring is solid and closed back, also a feature in early pieces as appose to the more contemporary open backed settings. The shoulders on this ring are also detailed, leading down to a smooth polished band , which makes for a comfortable fit.
