Age Of Elegance - Vintage Gold Plated Long Chain. This wonderful chain is crafted from gold plate over base metal. Featuring a Georgian Revival design, lovely detail, and quality workmanship. This chain can be worn long or it can be doubled up for a layered look. It is comprised of a fancy foxtail linked chain design with fluted cylinders throughout the chain. The chain features a secure spring ring clasp in perfect working order. This Vintage chain is so versatile and displays such elegance, a perfect piece for any collection.

History: Chains date at least back to 2500 BC, and we can give credit to the Ancient Egyptians for threading links of gold and silver together – much like we thank them for hammering out sheets of gold and rolling it into early wire. ... These Vintage chains have much more gold content that contemporary jewellery. Therefore the gold plating is much thicker , and better quality.
