Ancient circa 700 B.C. - 100 A.D. Egyptian beaded faience & carnelian necklace. This wonderful necklace is composed of authentic ancient beads and wire with a screw type brass clasp. The beads are alternating genuine carnelian, blue glass beads and pottery disc beads, with a central turquoise drop. The colour combination of this necklace is absolutely fantastic, with the gorgeous turquoise blue glass , glowing orange carnelian, and earthy ecru faience beads. The beads have been strung on very strong contemporary wire and has a brass screw type clasp that is in perfect working order. The necklace has a casual feel , therefore can be worn often with todays fashion. Just to hold something like this in your hand , knowing that the Ancient Egyptians made these wonderful beads is remarkable, yet alone having the chance to own something so incredible and beautiful. This amazing artifact is truly a piece to be treasured and enjoyed for many years to come.
