Forn Øx- - Ancient Viking 8th-11th Century Axe Amulet - This wonderful pendant is crafted from bronze, featuring a fantastic ancient design, and quality bronze work. This piece has a bold and beautiful shape, it is a sculpted axe with simple , however very nice detail. The detail displays hand hammered and etched decoration. The patina on this axe is lovely, a much desired green showing through , with traces go gold gilt, which suggests it most likely was originally guilded with gold. The precious artifact is solid and sturdy and in fine state of preservation. The amulet has been matched up to a contemporary bronzed chain, featuring a secure sturdy lobster claw clasp. This rare artifact would make a perfect unique gift or addition to any early collection.
