Hestr - Ancient Viking 8th-11th Century Bronze Horse Amulet Pendant. This wonderful artifact is crafted from bronze. Featuring an ancient Viking design, and quality bronze work. The shape of this pendant simulates a horse harness, with a solid central solid piece, bale, and 3 open worked decorative extensions on each side of the pendant. These rare harness pendants are sometimes seen in earlier ancient time, however this particular example dates from the Viking era. There are still some traces of enamel seen on this pendant. The shape is exquisite and unique, truly a very desirable collectable and beautiful artifact to be treasured and enjoyed for many years to come.

Note: Hestr means horse in Old Norse language.
