The galley on this ring is breathtaking, displaying fine and exquisite filigree work.  The desirable gemstone is surround by a sea of filigree work around the gallery and shoulders.  The gallery is delicate, showcasing forget me knot flowers, intricate filigree and milligrain detail. The band features engraved decoration , however it is smooth and polished which allows for a comfortable fit.  This Art Deco era piece would make a perfect gift or addition to any fine jewelry collection.

In Ancient Greek mythology Amphitrite was a sea goddess and wife of Poseidon and the queen of the sea.

Aquamarine refers to beryl that is pale blue, light blue-green, or even light green in colour.

Aquamarine evokes the purity of crystalline waters, and the exhilaration and relaxation of the sea. Aquamarines were thought to be treasures of the mermaids, and was used by sailors as a talisman of good luck.  They were also thought to absorb the atmosphere of young love, and when blessed and worn it joins in love, and does great things. In Medieval times, the stone was thought to reawaken the love of married couples.  Aquamarine was thought to be a "all purpose" healing stone.  The history of the aquamarine is intriguing, however one thing I believe we can all agree upon is that the beauty of this precious gem never fades.
