Edwardian "Charles Horner" guilloche sterling silver & enamel Pendant. This wonderful Edwardian (post) necklace is crafted from sterling silver, British hallmarks for sterling, date & maker (Charles Horner) . Featuring exquisite enamel work, genuine mother of pearl and quality silver work. The enamel work on this wonderful collectors piece is delicate and feminine, striking turquoise enamel work is the back drop for 3 glorious pink roses with green leaves framed in a crescent moon shaped sterling frame. The central part of the Crescent moon shape has three rows of silver with an expertly bezel set mother of pearl gem. The central medallion has two dangles with two silver beads , adding movement and interest to this fantastic piece. The bale is dainty, however substantial and secure. The clasp is original and in perfect working order. Charles Horner is highly collectable, these amazing pieces are getting more difficult to find in this fine condition. Truly a perfect unique gift or addition to any jewelry collection.
Note: Charles Horner( 1837-1896) was an English jeweller and founder of the Halifax jewellery business Charles Horner of Halifax. The company was known for silver thimbles, silverware, tableware, clocks and jewellery. The company closed in 1952. Charles Horner pieces are highly collectible. This particular pendant is a wonderful example of the fine pieces that were made.
