Art Deco sterling silver cameo & marcasite ring. This lovely ring is crafted from sterling silver, hallmarked 925 FINE. The ring has a smaller scale and features as beautifully carved genuine shell cameo of a lady with flowing hair, surrounded by a delicate milgrain bezel and expertly set genuine rose cut marcasite. The shiny marcasite offset the opaque cameo quite nicely, however on closer inspection the lady has a a very nice shiny aged patina. The shoulders on the ring are split, giving the ring a nice delicate feel, whilst the shank is polished and shiny. The ring is delicate, elegant and feminine, truly an Art Deco treasure to be enjoyed for many years to come.
