Vintage sterling silver prasiolite & marcasite ring. This ring is a beautiful example of Art Deco revival sterling silver and genuine gemstone jewelry. The ring has a hallmark of SIL for Silver. The beautiful hard to find prasiolite takes centre stage with sparkling hand set marcasites surrounding the stunning prasiolite. The design is classic and very well made. The green prasiolite sparkles beautifully and the colour is a soft apple green. Many consider the colour of this semi precious stone very desirable, this particular gemstone is a fine example. The style of this ring is also beautiful , so classic and can be worn casually or formally. This fine piece is a real treasure.

Note: Prasiolite was discovered in 1950. The colour of the newly discovered stone was very much like the green colour of beryl or peridot. Prasiolite at this time would have been mined in Brazil. This ring is not that common in vintage pieces. A real find.

Condition: Excellent , however one small chip on one marcasite. This can be common in marcasite rings. Not noticeable unless magnified.
