Prediction - Art Deco Sterling Silver Quartz Rock Crystal Solitaire Ring.  This wonderful ring is crafted from sterling silver, Hallmark S and faint sterling hallmark (tested and confirmed). Featuring one natural large round cut rock crystal gem, and Art Deco styling.  This exquisite ring is a classic Art Deco design, a simple expertly claw set solitaire in a basket gallery takes centre stage.  The claws are double tipped for additional security, which supports the large sparkling clear gem perfectly.  The shoulders of the ring have a slight graceful taper leading down to a smooth and polished shank, which allows for a comfortable fit.  This Art Deco ring is highly collectable and looks stunning when worn.

The Greek word krystallos meaning “ice”, provides the basis for the origin of the name Rock Crystal. This transparent colorless form of quartz conjures up the imagery of frozen rock and was so dubbed in ancient times. ... These often had a diamond or other stone set in the center.

Silver's history is long. The first evidence of silver mining dates back to 3000 B.C., in Turkey and Greece, according to the RSC. Ancient people even figured out how to refine silver. ... The silver does not react to the air, but the base metals such as lead and copper oxidize and separate from the precious metal.
