Featuring an oval-cut faceted amethyst paste gem, a tear-drop faceted paste gem, 3 round -cut faceted amethyst paste gems , genuine rose-cut marcasite, quality silver-work and an exquisite design to the antique piece. The gems are expertly set with delicate milgrain bezels, surrounded by a medallion of fine silver decoration featuring scrolls, foliage and thistles, enhanced with hand set sparkling marcasite. The amethyst drop adds movement and beauty to the piece, a characteristic of victorian and Georgian pendants , brooches, and stomachers of the day. This piece can be worn as a necklace or brooch. The chain is substantial and in wonderful condition, featuring a spring ring clasp , in perfect working order.
