Celebrate - Vintage 14K Rose Gold Plate Over Sterling Silver Morganite, Pink Topaz & Zircon Ring. This lovely ring is crafted from 14K rose gold plate, over sterling silver, hallmarked 925 for sterling, and a makers mark STS.  Featuring a genuine oval cut faceted morganite, two genuine round cut pink topaz gemstones, 8 genuine white zircon gemstones.  The expertly claw-set morganite displays the most beautiful champagne pink color. It is flanked by a half-surround of glowing white zicon, and two vibrant hot pink topaz.  The shoulders of the ring showcases a pretty split design, leading down to a polished and smooth shank.  This Vintage ring looks lovely when worn, and is in pristine condition.  Unique and so pretty!

History: The morganite was first discovered in Madagascar in 1911 and was initially called "Pink Beryl". However, the famous gemmologist George Frederick Kunz renamed it "Morganite" in honour of his patron, New York banker and philanthropist John Pierpont Morgan.

Pink Topaz is a pink gemstone that comes from a sole deposit near the Brazilian town of Ouro Preto (Portuguese: Black Gold). Pink Topaz embodies a gem's essential ideals: genuine rarity, breathtaking beauty and everyday durability; making it one of the world's most coveted and valuable gemstones.

Zircon is the oldest mineral on Earth, dating back more than 4.4 billion years. Found in the Earth's crust, it's common in most sand and sedimentary deposits, as well as metamorphic rocks and crystallized magma.

Rose gold was first used in early 19th century Russia by the famed jeweler Carl Faberge in his infamous Faberge Eggs, as was known as Russian Gold. Rose gold later gained popularity in the United Stated during the lavish and feminine 1920's, and was worn in engagement rings and fine jewelry.

The sterling alloy originated in continental Europe and was being used for commerce as early as the 12th century in the area that is now northern Germany. A piece of sterling silver dating from Henry II's reign was used as a standard in the Trial of the Pyx until it was deposited at the Royal Mint in 1843.
