Chain, Chain, Chain - Vintage Gold Plated Fancy Link Chain. This pretty chain is crafted from a gold plate over metal. Featuring Vintage styling, and quality craftsmanship. This chain has a lovely fancy link segments, and a polished finish. The clasp has any easy to use suction cup mechanism, which is in perfect working order. The Vintage chain can be worn on its own or with a pendant.

History: The first known gold plating occurred in northern Peru, where Pre-Columbian smiths gilded and silvered copper pieces by electrochemical replacement techniques. During excavations in the late 1980s, archaeologists discovered gold and silver ornamental and ceremonial artifacts dating all the way back to AD 50-300.
