Dew Drops- Estate 18K Gold Plate Hand-Set Crystal Cluster Dangly Earrings. These pretty earrings are crafted from 18K gold plate over metal. The earrings feature two oval faceted crystals, and numerous round cut faceted crystals, art deco styling, and quality craftsmanship. This earrings are expertly hand-set with a beautiful sparkling olive green crystal, which is adorned by clear sparkling crystals in a classic cluster design. The earrings are for pierced ears, and feature comfortable shepherd hook ear wires. These lovely earrings are versatile, therefore they can be worn with everything and anything. 

History: Centuries ago, quartz pebbles with a high lead content were found sparkling on the banks of Europe's Rhine River. These beautiful, natural stones were highly coveted and were eventually depleted, inspiring jewelers to create an imitation, aptly named the "rhinestone."

Luigi Brunatelli, an Italian chemist, is most widely credited for inventing electroplating. Brugnatelli published his findings on the use of Volta piles to deposit a layer of gold onto a metallic surface in 1805.
