Diamante Rosa - Georgian Portuguese 18K Sterling Silver Rose Cut Diamond Ring. This rare ring is crafted from 18K yellow gold, and 925 sterling silver, tested. Featuring 9 natural rose-cut diamonds, Georgian styling, quality gold and silver-work. The central design of this cluster ring is a lovely flower set with beautiful old rose-cut sparkling diamonds. The flower is made of silver and a delicate bezel of gold. The petals of the flower are set in such away that at close inspection there is also a glorious star in the design. The Shoulders of the ring are crafted from silver and designed as leaves, whilst the shank is polished, smooth and crafted from 18K gold. Georgian and Victorian rings quite often have silver galleries since platinum was not widely used and white gold was not yet invented. Silver would set off the diamonds and gemstones beautifully so it was most definitely a favourite of the Georgians and Victorians and a characteristic often found. The stunning Georgian ring would make a perfect gift or addition to any fine jewelry collection.
Note : You cannot look at rose cut diamond jewelry factually with a recut formula in mind, its value is object driven. Rose cuts are a greater challenge in estimating weight once they have been mounted (especially if they are closed back). These rose cut diamonds are hand cut, which makes them so special . This is a rare find.
