English Rose - Victorian 9K Rose Gold, Silver Rose & Table Cut Diamond Cluster Ring. This exquisite ring is crafted from 9K Rose gold & silver, tested and confirmed. Featuring a natural Rose Cut diamond, 20 smaller natural Rose Cut and Table Cut diamonds, classic Victorian styling, and quality gold-work. The expertly claw set diamonds exhibit a soft glow (a characteristic of antique cut diamonds) as appose to the modern round brilliant cut , which displays a blinding sparkle. The centre diamond is housed in a closed back bezel, whilst the accent diamonds are set in open backed settings designed in a floral form mount. The gallery is crafted in silver and rose gold (a characteristic of Georgian and Victorian jewelry). The band is made of rose gold. It is a split style design, slightly tapered, leading down to a polished and smooth double shank, which allows for a comfortable fit. The detail on this ring is extraordinary, and beautifully executed. Most definitely a statement ring with an abundance of character. You cannot look at rose cut diamond jewelry factually with a recut formula in mind, its value is object driven. Rose cuts are a greater challenge in estimating weight once they have been mounted (especially if they are closed back). These rose cut diamonds are hand cut, which makes them so special . This is a rare find.
The rose cut diamond is closed back ( a characteristic of Georgian and early Victorian jewelry). Closed back jewelry should never be immersed in liquid. To clean, wipe the ring gently with a damp (not saturated) cloth and pat dry with soft cloth.
In 1953, GIA formally created its diamond grading system, known as the 4 C's. The 4 Cs of diamond quality are the universally recognized diamond grading system still to be used today. 1n 1955, GIA presented its first diamond grading reports, which became the hallmark of grading reports in the diamond industry. Before this time in antiquity clients did not care about diamond grading. It was based more so on the size of the diamonds ( according to budget) , style, and sentiment. This ring is a wonderful example of the Victorian era, just beautiful!
In History of the United Kingdom, the Victorian era was the period of Queen Victoria's reign, from the 20th of June 1837 until her death on the 22nd of January 1901.
