Water - Estate Sterling Silver Cubic Zirconia Stud Earrings. These lovely earrings are crafted from sterling silver, hallmarked 925 for sterling. Featuring expertly claw set cubic zirconia's and quality silver work, the cubic zirconia is round and faceted, displaying a clear and bright gemstone with so much sparkle that they look like diamonds. The earrings are for pierced ears , with posts and secure butterfly backings. Classic and versatile , these earrings can be worn with anything. A perfect gift or wonderful addition to any jewelry collection.
It took many years to invent cubic zirconias; the process lasted from 1892 until 1930 when the first cubic zirconia was introduced. It wasn't until the 1970s, however, that the cubic zirconia, sometimes abbreviated as CZ, was first used in fashion jewelry.
