Extremely Scarce Ancient Viking Circa 800-1100 A.D. Bronze & Silver Butterfly Pendant
Extremely scarce Ancient Viking circa 800-1100 A.D. bronze & silver butterfly pendant. This amazing artifact is crafted from bronze, the contemporary chain and setting is sterling silver. The chain is a very fine quality, hallmarked 925, Italy. Italian chains are know for being hand finished so the chain is smooth and comfortable to wear. The butterfly pendant is exquisite , with it wonderful detail, markings and aged patina. The detail on the butterfly is raised and the markings are black in colour, even the black eyes are part of the decoration, whilst the patina is a soft green grey, expertly set by a master goldsmith in a sterling silver aged (oxidized) setting. Ancient meets contemporary, and the effect is just wonderful, and so beautiful. Truly a rare piece to add to your collection or to be gifted to that special someone.
