Feminine Flair - Vintage 9K Pink Tourmaline & Diamond Ring. This stunning ring is crafted from 9K white gold, hallmarked 375 for 9K, and a Birmingham assay . Featuring twelve genuine pear shape faceted pink tourmaline, two genuine oval cut faceted pink tourmaline, eight natural round brilliant cut diamonds , Georgian Revival design and quality gold-work. The tourmaline in this ring are a perfect colour of delicate but vibrant pink, whilst the diamonds are bright, white and sparkling. The gallery and design of this ring is so lovely and unique. The band is smooth and polished , which allows for a comfortable fit. This vintage ring is in the Georgian Revival style. The Georgians were fond of using pink grmstones in their jewelry. This piece is in the form of a cluster and the shape was used in designs of the Georgian era. This piece is not a Georgian period ring , however it has grandeur like the Georgian pieces and an attractive modern twist compared to the antique pieces from the past. This Vintage ring would make a perfect gift , or addition to any fine jewelry collection.
Note: Appraisal included with ring.
It was in the late 1600s and early 1700s that the tourmaline was first discovered by Dutch traders off the West Coast of Italy. However though discovered off the West Coast, its name originates from the Sinhalese word "turmali"
