Forget Me Knot - Vintage 14K Yellow & White Gold Engraved Wedding Band Ring .  This wedding band is crafted from 14K gold, hallmarked 14K, and a makers mark CMC for Cadman Manufacturing Co. The gorgeous band is crafted in yellow gold, which is interspaced with white gold 'forget me knots' The ring is dainty, yet solid and substantial for daily wear. This vintage ring would make a perfect wedding band for that special someone. Truly a piece to be cherished for a lifetime, and a true heirloom piece.  

History: Gold was generally used for a couple thousand years solely to create things such as jewelry and idols for worship. This was until around 1500 BC when the ancient empire of Egypt, which benefited greatly from its gold-bearing region, Nubia, made gold the first official medium of exchange for international trade.

The history of White Gold dates back to 1710, when it was composed by alchemists Johan Frierich Bottger and Ehrenfried Walther Von Tcshirnhaus in Germany. In 1752, another metal resembling White Gold was introduced, with a grey finish. White Gold as we know today was created in 1920's.

  The name "forget-me-not" comes from folklore, such as a legend of a knight who fell into a river while picking the flowers for his beloved and cried out, "Forget me not!" as he drowned.

Forget-me-not jewelry's history is steeped in symbolism, becoming highly popular during the Victorian era (1837-1901) as a powerful emblem of true love, loyalty, and remembrance, often exchanged between lovers separated by war or travel. The motif features delicately blue forget-me-not flowers, sometimes combined with motifs like knots and clasped hands, to express enduring commitment and a promise not to forget a loved one.
