History: J.J. was the registered trademark of the Jonette Jewelry Company. When first founded by Abraham Lisker in 1935, it was named Providence Jewelry Company. When his brother Nathan joined the company, the name was changed to Lisker and Lisker, Inc. Because of WWII, production ceased, then restarted after the war.

Jonette Jewelry Company, or JJ, was a Providence, Rhode Island company in business from 1935 through 2006. The name of the company wasn't always the same. Originally, the company, started by Abraham Lisker, was called The Providence Jewelry Company. They started using the JJ mark definitely around 1970.
