Seaside Garden - Georgian 22K Diamond, Ruby & Pearl Ring. This gorgeous ring is crafted from 22K solid gold, hallmarked 22CT (British Hallmark), a makers mark W.E. and full crisp hallmarks for England and a date letter for 1826 . Featuring two natural Old English cut diamonds, one natural old cut ruby, twelve natural pearls, hand-work and exquisite detailing. The central portion of this ring is rectangular in shape, and houses 2 precious gems. In the centre of the setting there is a vibrant red ruby, flanked by sparkling diamonds. Surrounding the gems are beautiful natural grey pearls. The gallery if the ring is dainty and detailed, as are the exquisite hand carved shoulders, featuring roses and foliage. The shank of the ring has a simple raised detail, however still smooth, and polished which allows for a comfortable fit. This back and bottom of the ring has an inscription Frederick Brook, Oct 25, 1827. This wonderful Georgian ring has all the bells and whistles, genuine natural gems, full crisp hallmarks and an inscription, truly a precious treasure for any fine early jewelry collection.
Note: Appraisal included with the ring. Rings before 1850 were completely handmade, gemstones were hand cut, only using tools to make these treasures. Machinery was not used until after 1850.
