Georgian 22ct natural opal and ruby ring. This is an attractive and beautifully crafted Georgian 22ct solid yellow gold ring, hallmarked 22ct( British hallmark). The ring is claw-set with a deep red genuine ruby gemstone which is bordered by a cluster of 6 top quality cabochon natural oopal gemstones. These are also claw-set in the ring and all of the opalsdiplay a full range of bright vibrant colours under different light intensities. The upper regions of the shank are highly decorative and exhibit 'meandering scroll and open-work patterning'. There is a 22ct gold stamp mark on the inside circumference of the shank which equates to a high gold fineness (91.6 %). The ring is very striking and unusual for Georgian Jewelry, absolutely stunning when worn, truly a ring to be treasured and enjoyed for many years to come.
