Glacier - Vintage 14K White Gold Canadian Diamond Solitaire Pendant & Chain.  This beautiful pendant is crafted from 14K white gold, hallmarked 14K.  The chain is crafted in 10K white gold, hallmarked 10K. Featuring a natural round brilliant diamond, classic styling and quality gold work.  This classic designed piece has a modernistic feel.  Gentle curves of white gold channel set with a sparkling diamond , which off-sets the precious diamond beautifully.  The setting is dainty, however substantial and well made. The pendant is matched up to a sleek box chain, which works perfectly with the elegant design of the pendant.   This Vintage pendant is versatile, feminine and ohhh so beautiful, a piece not to be missed!

History: Diamond History The earliest diamonds were found in India in 4th century BC, although the youngest of these deposits were formed 900 million years ago. A majority of these early stones were transported along the network of trade routes that connected India and China, commonly known as the Silk Road.

Glacier Fire - Internationally Cut These diamonds are mined in Canada, then cut and polished internationally. Resting silently beneath the ice of the Arctic tundra, each Canadian Diamond begins life as an unknown beauty hidden in the rough.

It was not until 1991 that diamonds were officially discovered by non-indigenous people, specifically, by two geologists named Chuck Fipke and Stewart Blusson. This discovery lead to the first diamond mine in the NWT in 1998 called Ekati and initially operated by BHP Billiton.
