The chain features vintage era style, and high quality Italian craftsmanship. The chain is designed with beautiful mariner links , which is solid and substantial. The necklace showcases a beautiful rich buttery gold colour, and a high polish. It lays flat, however the piece is still flexible, allowing the necklace to be worn daily, without worrying about kinks. The chain features a secure lobster-claw clasp in perfect working order. Mariner chain links, also known as anchor chains, have a history rooted in nautical culture and practical use on ships. Their design, featuring interlocking oval or round links with a bar across the middle, is inspired by the chains used to secure anchors. Initially, they served a functional purpose, but their strength and unique design eventually caught the eye of jewelers and became popular in fashion.

Gold was generally used for a couple thousand years solely to create things such as jewelry and idols for worship. This was until around 1500 BC when the ancient empire of Egypt, which benefited greatly from its gold-bearing region, Nubia, made gold the first official medium of exchange for international trade.
