Gorgeous - Vintage Rhinestone Crystal Peacock Brooch. This gorgeous brooch is crafted from a gold and silver toned metal. Featuring crystal gems stones, and Vintage styling. The brooch is made in the form of a beautiful peacock, which is adorned by emerald green and clear sparkling rhinestones. The body of the peacock is gold in colour, and the feathers are a silver colour. The lock mechanism works well, and is in perfect working order. The brooch looks stunning when worn, a wonderful Vintage addition to any jewelry collection.

Rhinestones which are also known as diamantes or paste date back as far as the thirteenth century where they were first made from Czechoslovakian or Bohemian hand blown glass. The term rhinestone came along later, when rock crystals were discovered in and around the shores of the river Rhine in Austria.
