Heart Beat - Vintage 10K Rose Gold Diamond Trembler Pendant & Chain.  This sweet pendant is crafted from 10K rose gold, hallmarked 10K. The chain is hallmarked 14K GF, which is a hallmark for gold filled jewelry. Featuring a natural round cut diamond, and quality workmanship.  The pendant is designed in the form of a heart shaped open-worked basket, which houses a sparkling diamond. The diamond is expertly set into a white gold mechanism that trembles when there is movement.  This mechanism allows the trembling stones to catch the light, which adds even more sparkle to diamonds and other gemstones. The pendant has been matched up to a rose gold filled chain, which works perfectly with the petite pendant.  The lovely necklace would make a perfect gift for that special someone. 

Tremblers are aptly named items of vintage jewelry, because, well, they tremble! These unique finds have parts that are set on metal that vibrates with movement. We see trembler jewelry most often as earrings with baubles a-flutter set on short lengths of chain.

Diamond History The earliest diamonds were found in India in 4th century BC, although the youngest of these deposits were formed 900 million years ago. A majority of these early stones were transported along the network of trade routes that connected India and China, commonly known as the Silk Road. 

Gold-filled is constructed in two or three layers. The core metal is jewelers’ brass. A gold alloy is then bonded to one or both surfaces of the brass core with heat and pressure. Unlike plated (aka electroplated or "dipped") metals, Gold-filled is legally required to contain 5% or 1/20 gold by weight. This 5% is then described by the karatage of the gold alloy. Our Gold-filled items are 14kt gold-filled. 14k Gold-filled products are identified as 14/20 Gold-filled; alternatively, 14kt Gold-Filled is also acceptable. Gold Filled jewelry is much better quality than gold plate.
