Hope - Ancient Viking 8th-11th Century Bronze Anchor Amulet Pendant. This amazing artifact is crafted from Bronze. Featuring a Viking design and quality bronze work. This wonderful pendant is an anchor amulet. The pendant has a fantastic shape, lovely detail and beautiful aged bronze patina with a touch of a much desired green patina. There are two contemporary loops, bale and bronze chain which has been attached and matched up to the piece. This rare Viking ear artifact is a treasure to be cherished and enjoyed for many years to come. A true piece of history!
Note: The anchor represented hope to the Christians. To the Vikings it represented hope and luck since these amulets were related to seafaring. They were sometimes worn during sea voyages in hope of a safe journey.
