The chain is hallmarked 925 for sterling silver. The snowflake pendant features one genuine round cut faceted sapphire, vintage styling, and quality craftsmanship. The pendant is made in the form of a snowflake, which is expertly claw-set with a dark blue sapphire. The pendant showcases pretty detailing, which is known as pierce-work. The chain is a belcher design, which features a secure lobster-claw clasp in perfect working order. This vintage pendant is versatile, and a great piece for daily wear. 

History: During the Middle Ages, the clergy wore blue sapphires to symbolize Heaven, and ordinary folks thought the gem attracted heavenly blessings. In other times and places, people instilled sapphires with the power to guard chastity, make peace between enemies, influence spirits, and reveal the secrets of oracles.
